Nestlé Waters in the Pacific Northwest
Cascade Locks: Project Updates
2010 Corporate Citizenship Report
Thursday, March 24, 2011
Nestle Waters North America (NWNA) released our new 2010 Corporate Citizenship Report on World Water Day, March 22.

The report details our vision for the future, relating to water, sustainability and community. We define measurable steps we are taking and performance history.

At NWNA, we continually seek ways to improve how we operate, as well as how we engage with – and learn from – our neighbors and stakeholders. Reporting on our sustainability and corporate citizenship is one avenue, which we will continue doing every two years.

Wage Information
We often receive questions about the wages that might be provided from a potential Nestlé Waters plant in Cascade Locks. This question was brought up at the last Town Hall meeting so we would like to address it here. While Nestlé Waters does not establish wages until a plant is close to opening and after a wage survey has been conducted, there is wage data available from the Oregon Employment Department for jobs comparable to those one might find at a water bottling plant. Please note these wages do not reflect actual wages that could be paid at a potential Nestle Waters plant.

Should our company operate in Cascade Locks, we would conduct a salary survey, most likely during the plant’s construction and, as is our practice, provide a total compensation and benefits package that is above average compared to comparable jobs with local consumer product manufacturing companies.

The types of jobs typically available in a water bottling facility vary. Below are general categories for which we might expect to hire.
• Equipment and/or machine operators
• Equipment and/or facility maintenance staff
• Chemists and/or water quality analysts
• Production, logistics, quality control resources
• Warehouse resources and forklift drivers
