Nestlé Waters in the Pacific Northwest
Cascade Locks: Project Updates
Stay Hydrated
Tuesday, August 24, 2010
Nestlé Waters reminds you to stay hydrated this summer!

Dehydration can be avoided by drinking the recommended daily amount of water. When we feel thirsty, dehydration has already set in to a certain degree. So, everyone should drink regularly throughout the day, before they even feel thirsty.

Tips to prevent dehydration:
-Don't wait until you are thirsty to drink, you're already dehydrated! A good habit is to sip water all throughout the day.
-Keep in mind that some people depend on others to drink: babies, sick people and the elderly.

Closer to Customers
Thursday, July 29, 2010
We are looking to build a bottling facility in the Northwest to be closer to our customers. This helps us to reduce our truck travel and our overall environmental footprint.

Specifically, Nestlé is looking at Cascade Locks because it appears to have a long-term supply of good-quality spring water and is close to I-84 and our regional customer base.

Eco-Shape Bottle Uses Less Plastic
Tuesday, July 13, 2010
In 2009, Nestlé released the lightest 0.5 liter plastic bottle, the new Eco-Shape bottle, on the U.S. market. The Eco-Shape half-liter bottle at that time weighed 9.2 grams. That's about 25% lighter than the previous Eco-Shape bottle released in 2007, and 60% lighter than the prior bottle.
